OneNote For Windows 10 isn't overly heavy (as long as you don't have large data sync running) so it shouldn't have a big impact.
Second day doing basically the same light web browsing plus YouTube, but also answering emails (I'm just using the Windows 11 mail app at the moment, will be swapping to Outlook in the next week), with the same basic setup as previous day except screen refresh was at 120Hz and Windows was estimating around 8 hours battery life.ĭepending on how heavy your usage is going to be, expect to get less than this. Windows estimates my battery run time would be 10hours 30minutes. Was on around 25%-35% brightness, Bluetooth on, no background apps running, speakers on 30%-40% but was swapping between using the speakers and using my Surface Earbuds for sound, and screen at 60hz.
I'm only had my SP8 (i7, 16Gb RAM, 512Gb storage) for a few days, so I don't have the best stats yet.įirst day of use after fully setting it up (windows updates completed, app installs complete, search indexing complete) I tested it with some light web browsing (using current release stream of Edge, Chrome is far too resource hungry) and watching YouTube videos.
